Civita’s first Red Cross Blood Drive on Sept. 9 was such an incredible success that three more dates have been planned: Oct. 6, Nov. 5 and Dec. 8.
The community’s first blood drive collected 20 units of blood, potentially saving the lives of 60 patients! Twenty-four people donated, including seven first-time donors.
America needs blood donations now more than ever. In addition to patients with traumatic injuries, chronic disease, cancer, patients with COVID-19 are testing our nation’s blood supply.
To participate in a future Civita blood drive, visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter “Civita” in the “Find a Blood Drive” box at the top of the page.
In addition to the feel-good response every blood donor gets, Red Cross has recently announced that every blood donation will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies as an added health service.
