Sustainability We're all about preserving and cherishing resources. We have a responsibility to our immediate neighbors in Mission Valley, and the San Diego region as a whole, to make sustainability, recycling and conservation-related technologies and initiative a cornerstone of everything we do. Incorporated into Civita will be a myriad of sustainable features, including a shared-car program using hybrid vehicles, shuttle service using alternative fuels, solar orientation and energy management systems, drought-tolerant landscaping, a community garden, high-efficiency irrigation systems designed for reclaimed water, a recycling program for construction waste, and the use of sustainable materials in the homes and structures we build. Plus, more than a third of Civita will be dedicated to open space, trails, parks and public spaces allowing residents to walk to and from destinations while promoting a healthier, active lifestyle. |
